The Ministry of Statistics &Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is going to make a two-day International Round Table Conference on 9 June to 10 June at New Delhi. The purpose of the Round Table Conference is to know best ideas for increasing performance of the statistical system in Hindustan, in this conference countries like Canada, UK and Australia will be participating. For the first time, this type of roundtable conference is being planned in India.
The conference will be inaugurated by the Union Minister for Statistics and Program Implementation, Shri DV Sadanand Gowda in the presence of Union Minister of State for Statistics and Program Implementation Shri Vijay Goyal and Secretary of the Program Implementation Shri K.V. Eapen.
The Chief Statistician of Statics Canada, Mr Anil Arora with former Deputy Statistician of the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Mr Jonathan Palmer OR Country Director of World Bank, Mr Junaid Ahmed, Statistics Expert and senior officials of the Government of India will also participate in the function.
Dr Bibek Debroy, President of the Prime Minister Economic Advisory Council and member of the Policy Commission, Dr RB Burman, Chairman of the National Statistical Commission, Dr Pranab Sen, former Chairman of the National Statistical Commission, former Chairman of the National Statistical Commission Prof. T.C.A. Anant is participating Round Table Conference of India.
In the conference, experts from national and international agencies will discuss Data for New India, data governance structure and capacity, organizational skills, management of data systems in a federal structure.
