Prime Minister
Recently, at the first global investor conference held in Guwahati, in the conference, Prime Minister described the development of North Eastern states as most essential for overall development of the country.
If India has less developed area, then the country can not move entirely on the scale of development. That is why under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government is giving a lot of priority to the international border states.Especially northeast areas have found quite a place in the central government policies.
For the development of this area, a whole department of the northeastern affairs of the central government is working day and night.
The Department is engaged in finding solutions to the needs and problems of the people in collaboration with the local governments under the special ministry created for the northeast cases.
Even before this, thousands of crores of rupees have been given in to the northeast, despite this, there is not much impact on the life of common man in north-east.
Assam has seven months of rain in a year which makes roads bad and connectivity with the entire country not easy.
There are many rare medicines and flowers in the northeast, but better connectivity is not available in that case the world’s attention is not in this direction. If government work on connectivity then a new dimension can be established here.
There is an abundance of rivers and reservoirs it provides immense potential in the power sector.
The government has taken several steps to improve the development of Northeast infrastructure. If everything will okay then by 2020, the capital of all the NE states will be connected to the country’s rail network.
