India’s second nuclear test has completed 20 years On May 11, 1998, the second nuclear test in Pokhran brought India into a series of atomic countries. India launched its first nuclear test in 1974, the test was done under the leadership of Indira Gandhi but after 24 years India once again told the world that it is power-rich countries.
The summer of 1998 was a challenge for India’s nuclear scientists, by hiding information from the world’s intelligence agencies, they had completed their nuclear mission. After the nuclear test Atal Bihari Vajpayee made it clear that India had taken the steps under the doctrine of credible minimum nuclear deterrence India will never use nuclear weapons first, India will never use nuclear weapons against non-nuclear nations and it will put a temporary ban on the nuclear test in the coming time.

This Agni-2 missile is capable of carrying a 1,000-kilogram payload and fly up to 3000 kilometers with payload 250 kilograms, surface-to-surface missile test was conducted under regular testing practice and this launched place was Abdul Kalam Island.
Agni-2 has been developed by Advanced Systems Laboratory, while it is being assembled for the army in India Dynamics Limited, Hyderabad. It is an Intermediate Range ballistic missile that is included in the service in 2004.
