But there is no impact on India’s relations with Israel, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s warm-hearted India visit scattered all the clouds of doubt. Netanyahu has indicated to maintaining a good relationship with India, a vote in the United Nations will not affect our relationship.
In 1947 we had only voted against the partition of Palestine in the United Nations, India’s sympathy on the Palestine issue and our friendship with the Palestinians have come true on every criterion. the relations between India and Palestine are quite old and close, during the Khilafat movement, the policies of both the countries were the same and both countries are very close at the ideological level too.
India was the first non-Arab country to recognize the legal representative PLO of the Palestine people in 1974. India was also the first in the countries that recognized Palestine as a state in 1988.
Yasir Arafat visited India several times before his death, Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas has visited India five times in the last 12 years, he visited India in 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2017.
In October 2015, then President Pranab Mukherjee went on a tour of Palestine, then External Affairs Minister SM Krishna travelled to Palestine in January 2012, Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahamed travelled to Palestine in 2007 and 2011.
India has been a supporter of Palestine independence and peace in West Asia, Iran, along with Israel, is also very important to us.
Especially after the huge investment in Chabahar and Central Asian countries’ road networks, Iran has become the need of India. In such a way, maintaining a better relationship with all parties profitable for India.
West Asia has been home to many bilateral and multilateral conflicts for decades.
Maintaining diplomatic balance in West Asia is not easy for any country, But what India did during this period is an example of excellent diplomacy in itself.
West Asia has seen many wars since 1947, at any time there was Automon Rule. and after that, the Britishers came here, declared Palestine as Jewish National Home.
Israel came into existence on May 15, 1948, the immediately Arab-Israeli war started, Palestinians saying that Jews from Europe were forced to settle here and Arab country considers Israel as a threat to Arab countries existence.
It is very important for India to maintain good relations with all countries.
Israel is very important in terms of India’s defence and agricultural needs; Israel is India’s tenth largest trading partner.
Saudi Arabia Iran fulfils a large part of the energy needs of India; India’s annual trade with the members of the Gulf Cooperation Council is more than 13770 crores.
Indian works who work in West Asian countries send more than 3000 crores every year to India.
What is the dispute of Palestine?
This whole controversy is about 70 years old. It has started since the second world war and since then thousands of people have lost their lives.
Palestine is forced to see a death scene from the last 70 years.

In the last 70 years, more than 6.30 lakh Palestinians have been forced to leave the country and move to other countries.
The land which was called Palestine in 1947, has been reduced by more than two-thirds, some square kilometres of Gaza and west coast.
The history of this dispute is quite intriguing. Some people consider the new country Israel made by the British after World War II as a centre of controversy.
Although the struggle started in this area a long time ago, Muslims and Christians in this area are entitled to equal rights, it has equal religious significance for Jerusalem.
Jerusalem is the city of Ibrahim and he had two sons, Ishmael and Isaac.
Around 1880, the struggle of Muslims, Jews and Christians in the area started in the name of religion, After this, the area became the centre of British -Ottoman power struggle during this time 65,000 Jews were resettled from Europe.
In 1914, the population of the Arab population was around 500,000 Since 1922 this area was under British occupation, the war between Jews and Palestinians continued even here in this period or same time Jews were demanding a new country for themselves.
With the rise of Hitler, the problems of the Jews in Europe increased, millions of Jews escaped from Europe, between 1922 and 1939, more than three million Jews arrived in Palestine.
By the time the 1940s local people started to oppose the Jews coming from outside, there were violent conflicts in many places but Britain suppressed the protests of Arab.
Meanwhile, on November 30, 1947, the plan to divide the disputed area in the United Nations between Jews and Arabs.
According to the agreement, on 15th May 1948, Britain left its occupation from the area, but the map of the area changed forever by British.
Israel’s birth as a new country on May 15, 1948, Arab countries protested against it, the war broke out among Israel and the Arab countries, but with the help of the Western countries, Israel crushed opposition of the Arabs.
