About CSC (Common Service Centres) in India – Under National e-Governance Plan which is formed by Department of Electronics and Information & Technology, Government of India. The Common Service Centres (CSC) are the ICT enabled front end Service distribution points at the village level for transfer Government’s works like Aadhar Card, Bhartnet , Financial, health education ,Social and Private Sector services in the area of farming, , entrainment, FMCG Products, banking coverage, pension Utility Payments etc to the ordinary village people.
The Project is being performed in Public-Private Partnership structure with a focus on rural entrepreneurship & business mechanism. The CSC has been set up by implementation associates called Service Centre Agencies who are selected by State Designated Agencies through an open bidding method. The CSC login is run and operated by Village Level Entrepreneurs, who are selected by SCA.
The place of CSC is chosen in discussion with the State Designated Agencies to help a group of 5-6 villages, through this Csc covering close to 6.50 lakh villages across the country. This is the world’s largest government approved ICT login enabled network. Under Companies Act, 1956 to do programme management of the CSC Scheme.
The Mission of CSC SPV is to allow provision of government, private and social sector services to citizens at doorsteps, at an affordable cost and in a transparent manner through the CSC login. The Services to be provided include:

At the end of January 2014, approximately 1,28,852 common service centre has been set up in all over India. CSC system has potential to be one of the world’s largest service distribution systems, the focus of the CSC SPV is on operationalising 100% of the CSCs across India.
CSC SPV has built Apna CSC Portal and number of Services are growing day by day. Initially, the portal was banned from Mobile payments and bill payment. But in this year company has started into contracts with LIC, Tata AIG, Red Bus, Election, NIELIT. In brief main Projects undertaken through Apna, CSC Portal is as under.
